Ultrafractionated stereotactic adaptive radiotherapy (PULSAR) SRS and CNS active drugs

Stereotactic radiotherapy has long been used for the treatment of intracranial brain tumors, with treatment decisions driven primarily by size. However, modern drugs capable of penetrating the blood-brain barrier (BBB) have introduced a synergistic effect with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). As tumors may respond differently, this presentation will explore why the standard stereotactic radiotherapy approach should be reconsidered and how treatment adaptation is becoming increasingly important. Through the utilization of PULSAR, the focus of the presentation will be on allowing time for change and personalization.
