Trusting MRgRT for pancreatic cancer

This webinar will present the evolution of ablative dose radiation at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center over the past 20 years.

Learning objectives

  • Understand how curative ablative hypofractionated treatment has evolved to MRgRT to address the limitation of the sensitivity of the surrounding mobile GI tract.
  • Review the importance of treating regional disease, which is present 80% of the time, for cure.
  • Examine why full doses and regional volumes must be used for treatment to become a standard competitive with surgery.
  • Explore tools being developed to enhance the ability and efficiency of MRgRT delivered with Elekta Unity, including 3-D MLC tracking (MRSigma) and interfraction GI dose accumulation.
